Fragrance Concentration

This is the biggest differentiator. The higher the fragrance oil concentration, the stronger, longer lasting, and generally more expensive the product.

From strongest to weakest:

Perfume/ Parfum → Eau de Parfum (EDP) → Eau de Toilette (EDT) → Eau de Cologne (EDC) → Aftershave

Perfume/ Parfum

·         Concentration: ~20–40% aromatic compounds

·         Longevity: 8–12+ hours

·         Intensity: Very strong and rich

·         Use: Evening, special occasions, or when you want a long-lasting scent

·         Notes: Most concentrated and expensive type. Require only a small amount.

Eau de Parfum (EDP)

·         Concentration: ~15–20% fragrance oils

·         Longevity: 6–8+ hours

·         Intensity: Strong and rich

·         Use: Evening, special occasions, or when you want a long-lasting scent

·         Notes: Often emphasizes deeper base notes (vanilla, woods, musk)

Eau de Toilette (EDT)

Eau de Cologne (EDC)

·         Concentration: ~2–5%

Aftershave

·         Concentration: ~1–3%
